A DynamoDB optimistic update fails its expected-version condition because another request changed the item. What should the application do?
Published
- Remove the condition and overwrite the current item without checking.
- Treat it as a concurrency conflict, reread if appropriate, and retry only after re-evaluating the intended business change.
- Retry the same stale version forever without reading current state.
- Assume the failed condition means DynamoDB stored the stale update anyway.
