A DynamoDB write has just completed. A Query against a global secondary index briefly does not return the item. The application requested immediate visibility. What should the developer account for?
Published
- Repeat the write with a new primary key whenever the index does not show it immediately.
- Assume the successful write was rolled back because the index is briefly stale.
- Enable ConsistentRead on the GSI to force synchronous propagation.
- GSIs are eventually consistent; use an appropriate base-table read when immediate read-after-write consistency is required.
