An organization publishes a standard CI workflow template. A repository creates its own workflow from that template. Later, the organization fixes the template. Why does the existing repository workflow still contain the old commands?

Published
  1. Changing the template always updates existing copies, so the logs must be from another repository.
  2. The template created an independent copy of the workflow.
  3. GitHub never allows templates to contain reusable workflow calls.
  4. Add secrets: inherit to the copied template and expect that to synchronize its YAML.
